28.11.2014 | Ad-hoc-Announcement

Jena (Germany), November 27, 2014 — Analytik Jena AG (Prime Standard: AJA, ISIN: DE0005213508) has again to reduce its profit expectation for the previous financial year 2013/2014 and now expects for the reporting period a negative operating result (EBIT) in the mid-seven digit range.

The Company has to made value adjustments totalling nealy EUR 7.0 m to its project business realized by the subsidiary AJZ Engineering, as from the Company`s perspective the impairment of the assets in the balance sheet with regard to the projects in Russia is affected by the current massive devaluation of the Russian ruble in the above mentioned amount.

AJZ Engineering realizes the majority of its project business in Russia, including notably the core project “Wolschskij“. As a result of the dramatic economic and monetary development in Russia during the past weeks the achievement of the expected results is no longer a realistic target. The Company is making efforts, together with the Russian end customer to avoid possible even higher losses in the case of further currency losses.

The information is based on preliminary financial figures. The complete figures for 2013/2014 financial year will be announced by the Company on December 19, 2014.
